One of my clients had said to me how refreshing it is to have someone who cares about giving someone a good haircut rather than trying to get them in and out. I asked what their previous experiences were like, and it seemed like a similar answer I’ve heard many times before. Despite what was asked for, these guys were ignored and given the cookie cutter haircut that best fit the barber and/or stylists’ day. Don’t get me wrong there are ALOT of amazing people in this industry who believe in bringing quality to the client but unfortunately there is a lot of people who don’t.
I’m just trying to be a genuine guy, and give my best to every client who is in my chair. But I believe what really helps me with my clients is that I actually care to find out more about them as a individual before someone who just needs a haircut. It’s about building trust and a real relationship, and from there, cutting their hair should be easy because you’ll know exactly what suits them and they’ll have faith in you to make any changes. It’s never about getting these guys in and out, it’s about making a difference in their life, making them feel good, and being a friend!
